Student Leadership
Student Council
Student Council gives students a mechanism to voice ideas and create a positive impact on the entire student body. They coordinate assemblies, make morning announcements, plan student social events, raise funds for community organizations, head up our commissions, and serve as role models to their fellow students.
Senators and Commissioners are middle school students elected by the student body each spring to serve one-year terms in leadership roles. They are assisted by middle school representatives chosen via application each fall.
Monthly Student Council meetings are open to all students.

Senators
Senators are middle schoolers elected by their grade to serve as that grade's voice. They shape the overall direction of each year’s Student Council. Team members focus on growing their individual leadership skills through initiative-building and collaboration.
Activities Commission
Students promote and provide ways for all students to be involved in the Sacred Heart community. This includes planning dances and activities, helping with Parents Club events and promoting co-curriculars.
Faith Commission
Students work to build a strong foundation of faith within the student body. They promote service, faith and free dress opportunities along with running Shoe Liturgy and Rice Bowl programs.
Spirit Commission
Students ensure that everyone feels that they are an integral part of the Sacred Heart community. From recognizing birthdays to promoting Spirit Week, this commission aims to make everyone feel welcome and seen.
Sports Commission
Students celebrate and cheer on school athletics programs. You’ll find them decorating lockers to recognize athletes and leading the cheering sections at games and meets.
Technology Commission
Students provide a student-level perspective on technology in education. They oversee the Classroom Tech Reps and Student Technology Assistants programs, along with coordinating and promoting TEC Week.

Student ambassadors
At Sacred Heart, our Student Ambassador Program celebrates leadership, service, and school spirit. Ambassadors are trusted student role models who represent our school with pride and enthusiasm. Whether welcoming families on campus or representing our school in the wider community, our ambassadors play a key role in sharing what makes Sacred Heart so special. Through their involvement, students grow in confidence, communication skills, and a deeper sense of responsibility and service.
Responsibilities of our Student Ambassadors:
-
Lead tours for prospective families during Open House events
-
Assist with admissions activities such as Pre-K and Kindergarten Social Assessments
-
Host visiting students during visit days
-
Welcome new families and help them feel part of the school community
-
Represent Sacred Heart at on-campus and community events
-
Serve as positive role models for fellow students
